Why do I get this error message : res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm whenever I try access secure websites?

I have a very strange problem. Whenever I try enter in to any secure sites I get the error message as mentioned. For ex: whenever I try to check my emails, do online shopping or try to sign in to any website to watch videos or sign in to any forums to chat. In other words I cannot access any of email accounts or cannot do online shopping at all. I am using IE 7 and initially after installing it, I had no problems but offlate I have been facing this peculiar problem. I have tried several solutions for the same like flushing the dns, setting the security level of IE 7 to lowest and even resetting/uninst/reinstalling IE 7 and also that I am logged in as the admininstrator but still they were of no help. Is this because of a virus(but my ani-virus prog did not detect any virus). Is reinstalling the OS the only step left? But I dont want to do that as I have a lot of data stored in my computer. Can someone please help me out with it as I am really worried about this.

This is definately due to a spyware hijack and even if it is remove it would reoccur if you continue using internet explorer

If you do not have firefox get it now and use it instead of internet explorer so you dont get any more spyware http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.com/

1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.com/2007/03/spybot-search-and-destroy-spyware-and.html do that now .Update it (Latest updates 11-04-2007) and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode

the antivirus cannot detect spyware as its not a virus

Do an online virus scan to check and remove virus and spyware if you still have viruses on your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .
